EVENTS NEWS

The Southern Saunter run was enjoyable but cold. We had about 12 people on the run I think, I forgot to count in all the excitement of getting the PowerPak ready. Unfortunately it let me down and stopped just three miles from the end and my health was not up to doing anymore pedalling to try and start it again ! but Jeremy saved the day by offering to pedal it home while I rode his Cyclemaster back. I was most impressed at his fitness and stamina at undertaking this task. I had not ridden a Cyclemaster before and was quite taken by its calm and steady progress.

We all enjoyed a good lunch and chat was enjoyed by all in the cafe after we returned.

Chris Sawyers Nasty Run was attended by about 10 riders I believe, I couldn’t make it so I’m writing this from reports I’ve received. The sun shone for them all for a change and Alan tells me it was a great day and most enjoyable with a meal at the pub afterwards.

The next run is a new one and it is:- The Cotswold Run, and the first meeting of this new run is on Sunday May 19th and the start/finish venue is Carles Cafe, Cerney Wick Lane, Cirencester, GL7 5LW. 10.30am start. Carles Cafe is on the corner of The Spine Road and Cerney Wick Lane.

It is a lovely flat run of approx 25 miles through some picturesque villages with little traffic and is ideal for Cyclemotors or other feeble powered machines, Flat Tankers are also welcome to come along. The cafe is bright and modern with indoor and outdoor seating and serves excellent snacks, light lunches and coffee. So please do come along and support this new run if you are able to.

The 2024 list of events is now up on the events page.

You meet the nicest people on a Honda !

Perhaps we shall need something like this above this for 2025 ?
