Teifi Run May 12th 2019 Report
The Teifi Run left Tanglwst at 11am on a sunny and warm Sunday morning. Starting off from the Cych Valley following the Afon Cych The valley (Glyn Cuch) is well known in Literature of Wales as the place where, in the Mabinogi, Pwyll Pendefig Dyfed has his fateful meeting with Arawn, Lord of the Underworld. Boundary streams were often thought of as portals to the underworld
Around 30 machines in total went on the run including 8 lomax’s and 1 morgan 3 wheeler, more joined at lunch and tea break.
The route followed the Afon Cych then the Teifi to Llechryd, round the falls at Cenarth and on to Aberporth for Sunday lunch, a route of 46 miles. After lunch we followed the coast of Cardigan Bay to Gwbert and on to Llechryd for afternoon tea and cake! Some riders left from here as it was an easy road to get back east, the rest carried on back to the start for tea and biscuits. Afternoon route of 32 miles.
The weather was fantastic, great to meet new members and members form other sections that came with vehicles and motorbikes on trailers and even campervans
Hope to see you all next year.
